Genesis has been awarded Gold Corporate Partnership Status by the Institute of Chemical Engineers (IChemE). IChemE is the global professional membership organisation for people with relevant experience or an interest in chemical engineering and is the only organisation to award Chartered Chemical Engineer status. Following a long and supportive relationship, Genesis joins a small group of elite Corporate Partners such as BP, Shell and Wood with our new Gold award.
IChemE's Corporate Partner Scheme “recognises and rewards companies that demonstrate a sustained commitment to the process industries". Genesis has long been committed to inspiring future generations and supporting our engineers to becoming Chartered through various training and development schemes, which are key areas of focus for this Gold membership award. We have successfully held the Bronze award for many years, now our new Gold status will give us enhanced recognition as a top employer for chemical engineers, as well as distinction amongst our competition.
In addition to this, many of our colleagues have gained Chartership through IChemE, including our Managing Director. “This is an incredible achievement for our business as it recognises the hard work and dedication our people have to the next generation of chemical engineers. I am very proud of the team who campaigned to make this possible, and our people who consistently demonstrate our core values and commitments. As a fellow of the institute, and Genesis being a long term member of IChemE, I have witnessed first-hand the benefits of such a relationship and I'm looking forward to collaborating further." – John Cambridge, Managing Director and Fellow of IChemE.
This announcement follows the reaccreditation of our IChemE Accredited Company Training Scheme (ACTS) back in November 2019. The IChemE ACT Scheme helps our engineers develop in their field through peer-to-peer learning and development, something Genesis prides itself over.
