Genesis’ Sofia Malik-Eve was recently awarded the Role Model Award by Voice At The Table Diversity and Inclusion Consultancy. This award is designed to highlight and celebrate someone who has stayed the course outside the majority group, tirelessly championing opportunities for women and workplace Diversity for many years.
Sofia’s tenacity and constancy in continuing to champion Diversity within their workplace was highlighted, along with her promotion of gender diversity for many years in a male-dominated industry, driving gender balance from when it was not even a topic of conversation, persevering through setbacks and resistance.
For Sofia, it is about raising awareness for everyone, whatever their background, gender or race, because it is only by acting together that we can make change happen.
